Heretic Surfboards was always meant to feel different — raw, intentional, a little rebellious.
Born from hand-shaped boards and a "craft over clout" mindset, the brand needed an identity that spoke to that: something stripped back but sharp.
Create a brand mark and tone that felt handmade yet timeless.
Design around the feel of surfing, not just the look.
The logo wasn’t born in a design file — it came from my old metal band.
I’d scrawled it years ago, and something about the energy stuck.
When Heretic came to life, I cleaned it up, redrew it, and gave it a new home.
Visuals matched the vibe — gritty but refined.
The brand felt real because it came straight from the shaping bay.
It wasn’t polished for mass appeal, and that’s what gave it soul.
